Yeah, that's absolutely crazy.

And it's all about, I suppose, the mental load of like taking the audit and stuff and thinking about it.

However, whatever system you deploy, you've got to be conscious and it takes up some brain space that you want to be using for other things.

I do wonder, though, if I can somehow modify the habit that I have of opening the fridge,

not quite seeing anything that I like or want and closing the fridge.

And then I sort of walk around and about 10 minutes later, I open the fridge.

It's still the same stuff in there and there's nothing particular that I want.

So now I need to change that.

And this is how you enforce a habit, isn't it?

By actually just slightly modifying something you do anyway and turning it from something that's not a great habit into a good one.

So maybe now I can just consciously, when I'm opening that fridge, just do the little, yep, we've got carrots in the drawer.
