franchising in very many ways is the perfect uh access point for folks
that are coming out of the military because uh i success in franchising requires a sense of uh uh family, a sense in many cases and uh uh a and in very many cases in fact and uh a sense of teamwork and a c uh uh uh the ability to uh to lead
uh and to follow when the when the time is right.
And so uh it is a natural transition and it and it couldn't be
um um you know, more uh exciting for us to celebrate that twenty fifth anniversary.
And we've got Stanley McChrystal, uh the former commander of uh US and International Forces in Afghanistan coming to speak.
talk to us there and uh I know I've got my book um under my uh folded under my arm uh to try to get an autograph.
Uh so uh he's one of the leaders I've I've admired.
uh being a military brat myself.
And having a father who served uh in the US government for thirty years.
Uh, you know, I uh I I have uh I'm a big fan of his and I'm I'm really excited to hear uh you know what he's gonna what he's gonna talk about when he comes to the convention.
It's absolutely true and and uh the the wisdom that gets imparted there is is incredible and uh people feel a little bit more free to speak their mind uh uh you know uh there uh than they would in in some of the other public presentations.
And it's non denominational and uh uh as you said uh Paul, well worth uh uh everyone's time to attend.
Some of the other highlights that I'm really excited about, you know, uh we've got uh franchising uh gives back that's gonna take uh place on uh Friday, February the nineteenth.
uh at the Warrior and Family Support Center.
Uh it's part of the uh Brook Army um
Medical Center in San Antonio and uh uh the Warrior and Family Support Center provides uh coordinated services uh to patients and next of kin and extended families uh with uh a primary focus on wounded uh Opera uh Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom Warriors.
uh it reminds me a lot of a charity that I have had a lot to do with uh uh here in Washington uh called the Fisher House uh that uh does some similar services and uh we're delighted I'll be there for sure and uh you know a uh w uh working on our franchise and gives back.
The staff here um around uh uh d uh Christmas uh time decided to
um engage in monthly exercises at IFA that were uh greater connections to the community and uh we're really as a staff taking to heart the franchising gifts back concept as so many of our corporate uh members do.
