If you think about Jimmy Stewart's hesitant delivery or Henry Fonda's Midwestern accent or Brando or John Wayne, you recognize them when you heard them, let alone when you saw them.
It was a signature voice.
And I think that that's something that actors have to realize is part of the component, you know, of an actor.
There's certain actresses that have such beautiful, deep, husky voices.
