All these systems you mentioned, they have parts of it that are still running on COBOL, many decades old, and this is a chance to get on.
There are a lot of endorsements, a lot of support.
The one that sticks out for me, you mentioned earlier, is a lot of the biggest law enforcement organizations are for it, which I think is a major tell.
I want to shift over to another debate that has been opened with respect to the Clarity Bill, which is over liability for developers.
There's a former White House cybersecurity official, Carol House, she's raised this concern that developers should be held more liable for the software that they write.
She argues that if you don't hold them liable, that this could set a dangerous precedent for other areas of technology like AI.
So, Mark, I know you spend a lot of your time in the AI world working on this stuff.
What do you think about this argument?
Maybe, maybe.
Let's move on to one of the last objections that I've heard most often, which is that
this bill would punch a hole in securities laws.
You know, Mark, you mentioned that securities laws have allowed U.S.
capital markets to thrive over the past 90 some odd years and have made the U.S.
the envy of the world.
