So while people might want to kind of have this sort of revisionist argument about the evils of the British Empire, which unquestionably had things to offer.

No, I'm not saying he didn't, but when you know you've got countries like uh Gabon and Togo, Mozambique and Cameroon and Rwanda which held a recent Commonwealth summit, none of them had anything to do with the British Empire at all.

But they want to join it 'cause it's a great network.
