And being a member of a group is like that.

So I think we have to be careful when we talk about words like pejoratives, they just apply because you're a member of the group, not because you share any attitudes or views or even properties uh with other members of that group.

So I think it's a fine distinction.

But remember it's it's ought to be uh target of negative moral motion all because or just because of being a Jew, being an African American, being whatever it might be.

So I don't think the pejoratives are necessarily limited to particular types of groups, you know, ones that apply to religion or

to ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, whatever you might think.

Although I do think that's an interesting discussion to have.

I think that can be for any kind of group we can imagine.

But I do think one could discuss, and I think it's an interesting discussion to have, whether there would be natural classes that qualify as Gs, whether there's some kind of sortal constraint, the sorts of things that Gs can be.

So there's natural classes.

Now, it's not that simple to figure out what that might be, just to take a an off-the-cuff example.

You might think that

That it was something which was in some sense beyond your control.

Being a member of this group was simply not something you could control.

So being born in a certain religion or being born a certain gender or a certain sexual orientation is not something which you may have any control over.

It's just something which came along with the package deal.

You know, it seems to me that a convert to Judaism is just as much a target.

target of antisemitism as someone who was uh born to the faith.
