That's what midterms are always about.

Well, he's also feeding a big part of his base.

It's a Tucker Carlson part of his base.
So people, I think, have just been misreading the midterm incentives here for Trump.
And what you see is he is the captain of the Titanic.
He's heading us here and it's because he's desperate to find a way to avoid hitting the iceberg, even if that means this super highly risky set of options, which by the way, I am not in favor of.
I want to be very, very clear.
I am not supporting this idea.
I believe all the bad things that everybody is saying.
My job is to put my policy, my preference hat aside and say, setting that aside, where are we actually heading?
That's why the escalation trap has been on the money month after month after month after month after month.
We're in five months now of this being on the money, and your listeners will know.
