I happen to like pizza.
If you've ever seen me, you know I'm not a skinny guy.
But at the end of the day, being the 300th pizza franchisor doing the same thing as everybody else probably is not a winning combination.
Once your unique value proposition is identified, then how do we articulate it?
How do we educate the marketplace that we are different?
We're doing something new, hip, cool, sexy, or maybe we're doing the same old thing,
And our opportunity is we want people to walk in and think this is a pizzeria from 40 years ago.
Whatever makes you unique, you better figure out how to articulate it in a way that resonates objectively, but how about emotionally with that prospective buyer, right?
I've never met a successful franchisee or even a really great prospective franchisee that didn't have some passion for
for the business and the brand.
That doesn't come from what's objective.
That comes from what's subjective and, most importantly, emotional.
Well, as an example, you know, we started our conversation, and of course I'm in England.
It's really interesting to me that here there's very little true franchise law or regulation.
Franchising is governed, while it is mentioned in a few places in British law, it is principally governed under contract law.
And, of course, you've got different levels of sophistication around the world
The interesting thing that we see is that most of our international business today, and I think, Paul, it is an indication that the U.S.
economy is improving, is geared to assisting our clients in their foreign markets.
As an example, we, for this client, manage their franchise development effort in the U.K.
with people in the U.K.
