our money well spent by the way you don't have to go out and spend a fortune there are many fine attorneys that do world-class work in our industry that relative to the investment that one needs to make are going to do very fine work without costing you a million dollars but the reality is very often when we get calls because people don't always call us when it's going well I I can assure you mcdonald's is not in my voicemail today

Why is it surprising?
You know, and certainly I'm not being unsympathetic or empathetic because everyone, again, has a finite amount of resources to work from.
I just see in a lot of cases new franchisors that haven't taken the time to educate themselves about franchising as an industry, franchise development as a profession.
You know, your cousin Eddie who's selling cars is probably not the right person to be representing you.
In the franchise transaction, as most of us recognize in franchising, we're asking someone to make a life decision first, a business decision second.
