I I always find it curious uh when you know, people talk about getting into philosophy when they're in high school.
I had a f I I've mentioned this before on the program.
I took a philosophy class.
class in my high school as a senior in high school, it was an elective that one could take.
Um it always struck me like I like how much different the profession would be, how much different the discipline would be, uh, if, you know, philosophy was

I don't this isn't too embarrassing.
You know, I went to I went to college after high school.
I had this, you know, sort of philosophy class in high school.
It was really like a, you know, Descartes said, I think therefore I am and Spinoza held this kind of view and David Hume didn't believe in causation.
You know, it was like this kind of history of ideas thing.
But um, you know, it never it it never occurred to me that, you know, philosophy was r remained a discipline.
Then uh and when I discovered in college that it y one could major in philosophy, which was after the first year I spent in college, I didn't realize that there was such a thing as a major in philosophy.
You know, it was sort of um you know, it was the kind of thing like, wow, I wish I knew this earlier.
I wouldn't have, you know, I wouldn't have spent the first year of college, you know, majoring in economics.
