Um and you know, it had like um
I I wish I could remember the name of the author.
Uh had these sort of like snippets, you know.
Here's what Leibniz said, here's what Descartes said, here's what here's Plato's view.
And it I I remember it that it it uh it went as far as John Dewey.
That's how that's how far that's how current it got.
Um
And I rem uh oddly, I, you know, be became very interested in Dewey, uh when I was you know, as a professional philosopher, I remember I a a high school kid thinking, Oh my god, the American philosophers are so basic.
They're so like they're so like stupid.
I mean, God, you know.
But there's more th there was more there.
There was more that yeah, there was more there there.
Um so, um th that is all you know, very interesting.
And someday uh when uh when our paths cross in real life again we should uh talk about all the things that used to be in Hackensack that are no longer there.
Um I would I would love that.
Uh let's talk about uh about the book.
Um and um let's begin with the ground floor.
Um so you know, uh as I mentioned in the the little introduction, you know
Or let me say, one of the things I really enjoy about philosophy books when they do the thing that your book does, yeah, I like reading a philosophy book that is showing me that there is philosophy to be done in a place where I hadn't realized that there was philosophy to be done.
Um and so this issue of, you know, informal political representatives is one of those sites where um
