But what kind of lessons did he learn beyond that, beyond the fact that the market's always right?

I mean, this is, I think, I think I can see now why people are still recommending his book because some of these things are still now told to traders all the time that you need to develop a sense for things and the market will smack you in the face.

And he also learnt that you do need to essentially play the cards you're dealt, but wait for when you have a great hand.
