But it also shows that Livermore has gone from being kind of this kind of the boy, the terrible boy wonder of the bucket shops, the boy plunger, to being a Wall Street speculator or an investor of renown.
Yeah.
Morgan wanted him to cover his shorts so that it would be well known that Jesse Livermore, the great trader, was no longer short the market.
It kind of shows that he has arrived on Wall Street as well at that moment.
He's playing at the big table.
That is for sure.
So anyway, he is now also fantastically wealthy, even by our era and for the 1907 era, you know, generationally, I mean, obscenely wealthy.
He starts kind of becoming a man about town as well.
He starts hosting parties and things like that, right?
So he's famous.
He's wealthy beyond almost measure.
He's glamorous.
He's, you know, he's arrived on Wall Street.
But of course, you know, spoiler alert, we have done a fair bit of foreshadowing already, but things don't work out for Jesse Livermore.
