Uh, can you tell us a little bit about what kind of financial instruments or credit system there was for sort of a family like the Satiricus's?

Were Romans in general everywhere always in death uh or was it some something that would wax and wane a little bit depending on, I guess, the the droughts or the flooding of the Nile or volcano eruptions?

Is it th the problem almost like we talk about uh the heuristic of of us thinking the Roman Empire was wealthy orgo Romans were wealthy?

But in the same way we think of money, sort of physical gold or silver coins as money and debt is inherently bad and you you're poor.

But in reality, credit is a system that, you know, the difference between credit and money sometimes gets very wishy washy in in practice and certainly even in everyday

Roman economics, that is the case with like shop ledgers, for example, where you you buy stuff a lot of it on credit essentially.

It doesn't mean anything other than that it's a simple way rather than lugging coins around all the time.
