I probably wouldn't want to pay back the stockbroker that let me lots of money to invest in essentially worthless, quite often fraudulent shares either.

What about the economic impact of this?

Yeah, I mean, quite a lot of people think that falling prices is a good thing.

But obviously, it means, you know, companies are making less money, people are making less money, debts are fixed in nominal terms, they still stay high.

You can easily see how that goes from being a bit of a panic on the stock market to being something that becomes a little bit nastier, more virulent, and maybe chronic in the economy for years afterwards.

Well, we obviously are going to be exploring the social fractures that happened.
