And writers who explicitly decide to blame this financial crash and the economic calamity that followed on the Jewish community.

So their lot is improving a little bit.

So going from a heavily discriminated against, very poor community, they are becoming a semi-prosperous middle class, they are playing an important civic role, and although still discriminated against, things are pointing at least roughly in the right direction.

And then this crash happens, right?

And the media suddenly decides to blame the Jewish community for the losses, the economic calamity that followed.

Gosh, I mean, this is when the term anti-Semitism first starts to emerge, right?

But the whole sort of 1800-year conspiracy stuff, that sounds like it bleeds directly into sort of the infamous protocols of the elders of Zion later on, another sort of touchstone of the anti-Semitic sort of hate industry, I guess, even today, sadly.

This idea that the Jewish people have controlled the world and controlled finance and things like that.
