Um yeah, it it was uh Morningfield.
Th it there was a bit of a mixed message there, if you like, because as as you point out, the number of job creation uh during the month of July was weaker than expected, a minus twenty three compared to that eighty eighty thousand expected.
And then as we've seen for so many months now, um downward revisions and pre n pretty hefty ones of a hundred and three on the prior months.
So
So uh overall in terms of job creation, pre weak.
Um but then what becomes kind of offsetting if you like is that the unemployment rate actually uh came down to four point one.
Yes.
So so when you look at the details, what what is interesting is So fewer people chasing those fewer jobs.
So few people.
Correct.
And then when you think about it is that basically the labour force uh in the US is shrinking.
Um by some estimates.
I think the number was two hundred and sixty four, fifty four thousand.
Um so sixty four thousand.
Right.
Well, that's b a big factor of that, as well as I suppose maybe all the people or some people deciding not to stay in the labour market.
But yeah, you would say that the the the immigration policy is probably a big factor in there.
Uh but overall then you you're left with looking at unemployment rate and uh with the unemployment rate being lower than it was before and and similarly with the earnings uh also um not really that that
high at point one in the month, leaving the the level at 3.2 year on year.
It's telling you that the labor market is stable, that the unemployment rate is low, and that inf there's no there's no wage inflation or wage pressures on inflation.
