And and inflation.
Um inflation is still well above target, um, especially if you take out those subs the subsidies and all the the the initiatives that the government has tried to kind of keep uh put com paper plast over over the issues around inflation in the domestic front.
So um if those fundamentals are not fixed, uh it's diff
To see the yen strengthening.
So inevitably the our sense is that and history tells you that inevitably this these levels of intervention eventually get retested unless the change there's a change in fundamentals.
Um but at least over the near term you would think it's probably a bit too risky to try to test those levels.
Uh but in the medium term, unless you see a change in fundamentals, um you know it's probably higher, high yen uh uh levels are probably

Uh expectations are that the the RBA will still be very concerned around uh inflation dynamics.
Um we did get a a nice outcome in terms of inflation.
Uh if you think about the the what we got for Q two, which was below what the the central bank was thinking.
Um so that might maybe give them a little bit of of of a reprieve, but uh uh inflation is still too high and and the the central bank uh rise
What is also interesting that we're gonna get the statement of monetary policy and new forecast.
So that will also give us a bit of a sense of what they're thinking of how inflation will evolve and the rest of the economy will evolve.
Because you gotta remember too that um as NAP as well is uh you know when we think about where we're gonna be in six months' time, uh there's a
great deal of concern around what happens to the labour market, uh what happens to house prices and the impact it can have on sentiment.
Um so it'll be interesting to see whether uh the central bank maybe lifts a little bit that uh unemployment rate, uh as well as of course how I see the inflation path from here.
Um and that will determine the level of sensitivity for for potentially another hike or not.
