So that that's kind of the question uh going good looking forward.
Is this sustainable?
Uh not necessarily.
And and as we know in terms of the data that we're getting from non-farm payrolls, uh or rather the report from the labor market, um uh wages growth are not increasing significantly.
So um so from the inflation perspective, um the PCE was also um a little bit uh kind of on the
Softer side, if you look at the deflator on a month to month basis, it printed below that point two number, I think it's what one point three.
Um so that's uh that also helped lower the uh the year on year number to three point three as expected.
Um but the key takeaway there that at least in terms of the inflation dynamics, um it is going in the right direction and and maybe placed to the view that the
Fed can afford to to be patient.
Um and if if you know, energy is the big driver of of inflation dynamics whilst uh domestic dynamics are not really showing a a big uptick with wages growth also not necessarily that high, um there there is actually sort of a valid argument to say, well the Fed can afford to wait and see how things play out.
Um
Um so so for now um
Um um you know, uh the the NAP view is that the the Fed is more likely than not to to sit on his hands.
Of the the risk is that they may need to hike.
Um and that's where kind of the secondary effects coming from the from the Middle East conflicts uh will be very important in terms of what the Fed does between now and the end of the year.
W very
Yeah, uh and the jump on on uh Microsoft of seventeen percent is is very impressive, but it just tells you of kind of the level of volatility that that you're seeing in uh in that part of the equity market.
Um and and to your point, Meta's uh you know, being punished and with reports highlighting how that is they have over or close to seven hundred billion in in future spend that committed.
Um so so
It it is quite a contrasting uh image, um but also uh it's still that emphasis on um how much money people are spending and and whether you can afford to actually spend it and that's where the concern is.
