So
So uh we're gonna have this sort of yo-yo effect that Q two maybe not as bad as expected, but uh the way we're going, Q three could be could be uh you know ugly again.
Um but it what what to your point, uh it's not only just the headline that has come down, uh, but particularly, you know, when you look at the measures that the Bank of Canada likes, so the Trim Min uh and the median uh the median as well, they they all fell.
And they're all within uh the the the bank's targets of two percent or even below that two percent.
So um uh when you look at Canada, there's no inflationary pressures and there's no need to talk about hikes at least over the near term, even though the market is still pricing the potential for a hike later in the year, um given that you know the economy is not growing at full capacity, uh with all the tensions in particular.
particular with the US in terms of the negotiations, US USMCA.
Um and now the the lack of inflationary pressures, to your point, it's difficult to see the the Bank of Canada even contemplating any rate hikes there uh over coming months.
Uh yes.
Um I I suppose in terms of the semiconductor story, we we obviously we've seen this huge fall in previous days, but uh but n the what we can say today is that at least prices went up at the beginning and they're kind of unchanged on the day.
So so that's kind of at least a little bit of more uh uh a bit of a pause in in the the price decline.
And um uh overall, you know, the equity market has
hasn't done a lot uh at the moment.
The S P five hundred is down point zero nine.
Um the Nasdaq is unchanged.
Uh but within the sectors the as you say there's there's a little bit of volatility and variation.
Um with uh you know maybe a little bit on on on the consumer side and domestic side, we see industrial materials and healthcare and consumer staples all down a little bit.
But but non major and I'm not sure we can draw huge too much conclusions.
Too much.
Too much conclusions.
I mean the the main the main stuff is that markets are a little change and the the concerns around technology and and semiconductors is that they have stopped falling.
