I mean, that's really what we try to do.
Bernie coined the phrase for the company, helping to create the American dream day after day.
And it sounds kind of corny, and he's a corny guy, but that's what we do.
We put people in business.
We give them the ability to be in business for themselves, and it's something that we're very proud of.
So...
Bernie did a great job getting us to a point.
He also recognized that he was at the point where he wasn't going to make it any bigger and he needed help.
He didn't have that thing that we know so much in franchising called founder syndrome, where the founder just doesn't let the company go to its fullest potential.
We've been able to work together through some very, very tough times in 2008 and 2009 and 2010.
You think about what happened to your company.
You can imagine what happened to ours.
And we got through it, and thank goodness we're on a good path right now.

is a clearinghouse for franchise brands to have their contracts and business model pre-cleared by the SBA for eligibility so that a lender doesn't need to worry, an SBA lender doesn't need to worry that their guarantee might be impaired by making a loan to that brand.
It saves the bank legal costs.
it gives the lender confidence that their guarantee is safe.
