that Fianna Fáil in particular, well, Fianna Fáil and Fianna Gael, and it's Lorcan Sir has made this point quite well, that, you know, they built their politics around essentially homeownership, right?
We give people homeownership.
That's been the core of the policy over, you know, many ways since the foundation of the state.
They've worked on, even when public housing was developed, it was still often with the intention of promoting and selling on to homeownership.
And this is the first generation where Fianna Fáil and Fianna Gael have not prioritized home ownership, but have prioritized the tenantization, the re-tenantization.
of young people, of the Irish and middle class, of middle class young people, their priority has not been to give them home ownership, but actually to use them as rental commodities for international funds.
And I don't, I don't know whether they understand fully the political implications of that or whether their voter base is narrowing so much that they're going, well, we'll accept that.
Their kids might not get housing, but we'll hold on to the parents' votes.
And the question for us is how do we convince the majority of people and how do we get them to get behind that policy
to mobilize around it, to vote for it.
And I think that's, that's our challenge, isn't it?

And that is the question of how, as I said, that is our challenge, how we convince people, how we engage with them, because
