And now we're on to...
the Mount Everest of it.
And so, yeah, it's been an insane six years of getting COVID starting, stand-up falling apart, which I didn't think was possible, and then going, oh shit, things can shut down and go away.
And then getting back on stage and climbing back into it.
And then this hour that I put out was probably the first sort of version of me post my dad dying.
My special I put out in 2024 were all the jokes I was gonna put out in 2020.
So it wasn't jokes where it's like, oh, he's been through this.
So this hour it was like, oh, here is this version.

I do.
I do talk about it very minimally, but it's something I'm wading into.
I talk about it a little bit at the end of my special, and now I'm, like, dipping into it more.
You know, my dad was great, but there was also times where my dad wasn't great, and it would really bother me, or, like, how our relationship was.
You're not a self-pityer.
No, I mean, I can be, but I had a relationship with him where I was like, oh, I wish we, like,
I wish we'd talked more, had this relationship."
And I kind of just in the back of my head always kind of put it on him to foster that and to start that.
And then when I had my kid, not right away, but now that my kid is going on 11 years old,
I realized, like, oh, it isn't totally... I can't keep living this life of expecting other people who want to have a relationship with me to build that relationship or not take responsibility for me not doing it.
And so, you know, now that my dad's gone, that's one of those regrettable sort of things you look back at and go, oh, I could have been there more.
