Well, normally when refugees cross the border, it takes a very, very long time before they're convinced that they're not going to be able to get asylum, that the stories they've heard aren't true. voice-verified

You would expect people to be around for weeks before they went back. voice-verified

which implies to me that there was a degree of coordination. voice-verified

I'm very interested in the fact that the Moroccan police appear to have enabled this, that there appear to have been stories that were even choices of sending Moroccans forward rather than sending sub-Saharan Africans forward. voice-verified

And there's a very interesting backstory here around the relationships between Morocco and Spain. voice-verified

We talked about West Sahara, which is this large area, largely desert area running along the Atlantic coastline, voice-verified

which was supposed to be an independent territory, which is claimed by Morocco, invaded by Morocco, which Donald Trump has now recognized as being part of Moroccan territory. voice-verified
