You know, it's bad choices and bad decisions and this constant need of trying to escape.
But when I saw the film, I obviously knew the language Mary was using when we were filming it.
The camera was extremely close.
On the first day, I was like, are you going to be that close?
But the visual storytelling is so arresting.
And I'm still figuring out the movie.
There's so much ambiguity in the movie.
There's so many questions asked and no answers.
And I felt like that, for me...
as a viewer, something I'm still trying to figure out, which is really cool.
