But the problem is Congress.

Congress sets these laws.

Congress has to change this.

Most Americans don't know that an employer doesn't have to try to find an American to hire before they bring in an H-1B.

H-1Bs are designed as cheap labor.

to replace American workers.

That's it.

It's in the law.

And the other problem that we have, supposedly there's this cap of 85,000 on H-1B visas every year, but the problem there is that universities, government agencies, and nonprofit research institutions are completely exempt from that cap.

So they can bring in as many H-1Bs as they want and replace Americans in these jobs that Americans need.

And guess what?

The H-1Bs live in neighborhoods.

They buy houses, even though they're here on temporary visas, because they expect to be able to stay here for the rest of their lives.

All of that has to change now.
