Yeah, I feel great that it's finally here, and I just hope it's not just that my PTSD is going to be relieved.
I'm happy, and more importantly, and as I explained to other podcasters, how he talks about the drugs and still talks about them, how it was great.
You have the new generation, which is so different than what we had back then.
And he's promoting it.
And my very close friends, Victor and Diane, seven months ago, lost their 35-year-old son, 20-year addiction, with a needle in his arm, fentanyl.
And you just hit on one of the major reasons that
I liked the idea of the documentary.
Not only was it pitched to me that it was going to be real, which apparently, and I haven't seen it, I'll see episode one tonight.
It was also my opportunity to help people through whatever podcast like this or wherever it goes from here, a book, people battling addiction, people battling obesity and me winning.
That battle.
Even if I had to fight it twice.
And being able to help people.
Again, not the path I would have chosen.
But nonetheless, I'm the guy that looks to my right in my car and I see a woman or a man with a face.
Because they don't have the newest Mercedes.
It's last year's Mercedes.
And I go...
Holy shit, I can't believe New York State gave me a driver's license back.
I chased speaking at rehabs like I used to chase highs.
I chased them down.
