Hi, you guys. Welcome back to Killer Thriller docu edition. So today we are exploring the explosive true story behind one of the most infamous financial scandals in history. I'm sure most of you guys have seen the real or the Wolf of Wall Street. Well, we are talking about the real Wolf of Wall Street. And it's a three part documentary series that takes a closer look at Jordan Belfort, his Stratton Oakmont empire and the people who witnessed the rise and fall of the firm that became synonymous with 1990s excess. I was obsessed with this film, you guys. I'm sure a lot of you were as well. It starred Leonardo DiCaprio. It was crazy and over the top and sort of sexy and then kind of, you know, like these guys were just total assholes.
But anyway, the series goes... The true series goes beyond the Hollywood version of the event. So it features never-before-seen footage, thousands of internal FBI documents, archival interviews, and firsthand accounts from those who were closest to Jordan Belfort. And joining us today are Ross Portnoy and Howie Gelfand. So they... were two participants in the documentary and they actually share their personal experiences with Stratton Oakmont and the culture that fueled its success and the aftermath that followed. So we're gonna talk to them and separate fact from fiction. So, you know, the reality behind Jordan Belfort's larger than life persona, why the story continues to captivate audiences more than 30 years later.

Thank you for being here. I have to say, I have to start off by saying it's sort of a pleasure to be talking to two people who are not involved in some gruesome murder, kidnapping, rape, awful, although I don't know exactly what went on at Stratton, but I think I do now after watching.
