So what do I mean by that?
Each individual for my team and I manage a team of um in total one colleague from Israel and eight people.
Right now they're mo mostly based in the UK, but uh a year back they were all over the world, from Asia
to UK, to Eastern Europe.
So it's very all over the place, you know, try to
book a conference call and then oh it's G M T plus two, but for him it's minus four.
And then you know when you get everyone on the team, like they're all hands, it's just to see everyone on the Zoom slides, it's very fun.
So I decided to build plan for for those specific teams, exactly as I would do with my colleague in Israel.
where we have weekly meetings or bi weekly meetings, and where we have goals and and KPIs and kind of like give each and every person his own room to express himself, to get to know them better, to talk about personal life because I think it's it's very important.
Especially if the if these are people that you've never seen, you know.
With uh COVID nineteen, people started to work remotely, they fell in love.
It's very convenient for um people who have family.
I myself I have three small kids and I come to the office twice a week, three times at home, and it's very convenient for me.
And when I built a the team from all over the world
I had a dream which is spoiler, we all met at Brighton SEO last year in the UK.
They all came from all over the globe for kind of like Christmas and stayed until April and it was the first time we saw each other in real life.
But um I believe that in order to create a a good cross functional team is first of all to to have some sort of
active channel of communication, whether it's Slack, Skype, WhatsApp, uh each one has his own preferred methods, and kind of like
get the talks going on.
So for our group what works best is is WhatsApp and ninety percent of the conversations there are about um movie recommendations and picture of cats, pictures of uh people traveling the world or doing fun during the weekend.
