It all takes energy.
And mitochondria make that.
So the current thinking, and this is actually based on research being done at UCL, University College London, is that all those infrared photons, trillions and trillions of them, entering the body and scattering through the body throughout the day,
are hitting our mitochondria.
And in a sense, they're kind of like knocking the rust off the mitochondria because mitochondria just like, you know, they produce energy like a little engine, like a little car engine.
And just like your car engine, they kind of get gunked up over time.
with just like waste products.
And the light of the infrared photon seems to be at just the right frequency to kind of clean them up a little bit.
It knocks off some of the rust.
It makes them run a little bit better.
So they produce a little bit more energy more efficiently with less rust, essentially.
They produce less free radicals is what is actually happening.
And free radicals, keeping free radicals down to a minimum is one of the big goals of aging, of healthy aging.
So according to these researchers at UCL, when you're outside and your body is getting suffused with these infrared photons, it's improving your ability to make energy while making fewer free radicals at the same time.
And that's just a great formula for healthy aging.
It is, and Jerry Pollack's books are amazing.
Aren't they?
I've been collecting them.
They're spectacular, and they're coming from a complete left field.
They're completely different.
