They're like orthogonal compared to everything else that's happening.

They're just on their own little track, and it's really eye-opening.

But yeah, no, the theories look pretty solid.

We definitely need more research, but...

Yet Glenn Jeffrey's work, he has shown and in everyone, you know, everything from humans to flies to bees, you shine infrared light on them and you can measure the difference in output of metabolism.

So our metabolisms just do better with that light.

And the big takeaway is that we only get that light when we're outside, right?

because infrared is not part of the spectrum of LEDs or fluorescent lights or any of the things we use to light our homes, purposefully so, because it would be wasted energy.

We can't see it.

So the whole idea of energy efficiency is to just concentrate

on the part of the spectrum that we can see.

So most LEDs mostly make blue light.

So when we're indoors, we are missing out on a wavelength that we used to get 12 hours a day right through any clothing or furs that we happen to be wearing.

So that's a huge change.

It's a huge experiment that is just new in human history.

Sure.

So there's really three major types of skin cancer.

Melanoma is one we hear a lot about.

And then there's basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.

And they're often called BCCs and SCCs.
