And I think probably the worst thing truly that they could have done in the marketing of this show is compare it with True Detective.
Because you come in with a sense of, oh, there's gonna be a mystery and these two are gonna banter and bicker and there's gonna be some tension and some thematic stuff.
That does not materialize.
I'm just very unclear about what this show thinks it is or what it thinks it's doing with the Green Lantern lore.
Love watching it, a real like beautiful gowns type of show.
But I don't know if there's much there there.

And I think that it is especially there in the third episode that we're discussing broadly, because we don't want to spoil anything for listeners.
I think that the third episode is the best episode by far of the season.
I think it is the one that is actually saying something.
that you are alluding to, Glenn, which is this question of like being non-white in a white country, which is what America essentially
You know, claims it is at this current moment in time.
So I think that there is that element and that's really interestingly handled in three.
I think there are thoughtful things being done here in terms of what is good quote unquote representation and what would be the realities of being someone in this country trying to measure up to like a white ideal.
How infuriating is that?
I think that's in three.
I really like it.
I think that it sort of disappears from the show after that.
I think it just becomes a few stray lines of dialogue and we don't get further engagement with it.
