And they are different.
They are, because the emotional hunger is just this craving, this yearning for
For this emotional satisfaction to feel fully seen, fully loved, fully appreciated, fully respected.
And psychological hunger is just – it's similar, but I find it to be different.
And then, of course, physical hunger, which when you've been on a diet for 49 years or whatever, it's just –
It's constant, and you just think, if only, if only, if only.
And it surprised me how many people connected to the book over the years and still connect to the book, and how many people in different kinds of bodies.
When I wrote the book, I thought, well, maybe a few fat people will find some connection to this book.
But immediately, it was people in all bodies, and I realized I had a bit of a chip on my shoulder.
And that it's just hard to be human.
It's hard to be alive physically.
Well, because when very thin, conventionally attractive women would come up to me during a signing line and say, like, I feel like you were telling me my story.
I was just like, girl, where did you see that?
What?
And so it really it surprised me.
And then I had to ask myself, why are you so surprised and why don't you believe this person?
And, you know, I realized like we are all facing different kinds of expectations about how we're supposed to be in the world.
And while some experiences are more difficult than others, it doesn't mean that any of them are particularly easy.
And even men have read the book, like five, and those five men are lovely.
