Right.
And I think about that a lot because I find that sometimes when someone is – I don't like the word overweight because like over what?
But when someone is like maybe 10, 15 pounds larger than they would like to be.
Yes, it's like pleasantly plump.
And I just think there's a lot of pressure on those people to sort of lose that last little bit to get to some ideal.
But then when you have 40, 50 pounds to lose, people are like, wow, you have such a pretty face.
And then when you have like 100 or more pounds to lose, if you were even interested in losing weight, people really sort of just dismiss you.
They treat you like as if you're not even there.
Or they make a spectacle of you because they're so – I think so many people are so just disgusted and so angry at fat people.
And a lot of the time I think it's because they deprive themselves.
And so they resent that there are people –
Who they assume aren't depriving themselves.
But most fat people are just as disordered as anyone else, which I don't think is a goal.
I think it's sad that so many people live in such a constant state of deprivation.
It's just bodies are hard.
So, yes, back to hunger.
It's hard to write about bodies.
Yeah, I mean, especially I think when you're a woman, I think we're oftentimes expected to deprive ourselves not only of food, but deprive ourselves of authority, deprive ourselves of using our voices, deprive ourselves of being unapologetic or being firm or being powerful in service of patriarchy, really.
Yeah.
I think so many of us can just relate to sometimes the world is, of course, telling us restrict, deprive, but no one does that more harshly than ourselves.
