It's one of the reasons why they had such a poor record.

Uh and and really struggled.

I mean, they came from way behind in the early part of the season.

I mean, that offense was uh atrocious.

And fortunately for them, Zach Wheeler returned.

I know there's a lot of talk about Topper getting fired, uh Rob Thompson getting fired and and in inserting Don Mattingley.

And I love Diamond Don Mattingley.

Uh but really, in my opinion, they're very, very similar managers.

And really the guys weren't performing.

Uh they weren't pitching, they weren't hitting.

In a lot of categories offensively, they were in like literally the bottom third.

And and on base percentage in particular, I mean, they've been thirtieth, twenty-ninth, twenty-eighth all year long.

So a lot of underachieving guys offensively in the early part of the season.

They picked it up.

I think it was a little bit of a slap in the face and a gut punch for so lot of the guys when when Rob Thompson was met was uh rel relieved of his duties.

And frankly, they had three different things happen.

Right at the time Don Mattingley took over.

One, Wheeler came back.

Two, Duran came back from a short stint.

Uh he he was he had some issues.
