It's about what choices do you make with the materials that are available to you.

I think it's super interesting.
When I was writing about Helen in film and television, they were all basically blonde and blue eyed or maybe green eyes and very, you know, stereotypical.
Except this is interesting, except for two that are in TV shows, not movies.
TV shows can, back in the day, not, I mean, everything's changed now, but I'm talking about an episode of Star Trek and an episode of Xena Warrior Princess, both of which have Helen as a character and they both used mixed race actors.
With dark hair.
Television is a much cheaper medium.
The stakes are lower.
You can take more risks.
And, you know, the Hollywood machine tends to encourage conformity.
So I thought, back when I was writing this stuff, I was really interested in that, the racial makeup of these two actors being different from the others.
Diane Kruger, by the way, is German.
And my theory of that is the director of Troy is German and that's his ideal beauty.
