But when we started...

in the early 80s, the league was different.

Right, right.

So you could actually take some time off

it was almost like a school year.

So you work nine months or whatever, and then you could have a little summer break.

But that quickly changed too with the evolution of summer league, with the evolution of training camps, mini camps, summer camps, burka camps.

They would think of all kinds of stuff.

So it evolved into 12 months,

around the year that you had to be present.

So, I mean, it grew quite a bit, and it was all year round eventually.

So, I mean, it was a lot.

And the days were long.

Game days were very long.

And one thing people don't realize is that the days were longer at home

than they were on the road because you had more responsibilities for your own team as well as the visiting team.

So you had a lot to pay attention to.

You had a lot to take care of and

You know, when we played home games, I really wasn't home that often.
