Obviously, I think Darnell did a lot to improve his game last year under a new coaching staff and a new system here.
And now you just kind of go through the process of figuring out what that looks like in your long term future, what you want to invest in those conversations will will get underway and you're not under an intense deadline to get them done here in the next, you know, four or five days.
But I think that will be a fluid process here over the next few months.
Mark and I are on opposite sides of the Dexter Lawrence situation in that I believe that I was relieved that he went somewhere else where he was like, go get him, despite it costing the 10th overall pick.
I can only imagine what that would equate to from what the Bears could give up.
Where are you on seeing Dexter Lawrence now end up in Cincinnati instead of Chicago?
And are you more relieved or are you more, oh, man, we missed out?

There's a belief that this team can try to take a jump up.

And so you're building towards sustaining success for the long term.
In order to acquire Dexter Lawrence, there's a high asking price in terms of draft capital.
There's a high asking price in terms of his current contract.
There's a higher asking price in terms of his future extension.
And so those are all things that you have to take into account when you're assessing a situation like that.
Your team needs to try to figure out a way to build sustained success through drafting strong.
