And adding up all their promises would total an extra £17 or £18 billion, a whopping 33% increase on current education spending.
But perhaps their most costly promise is class sizes of 20.
They say this would cost £1.5 billion over the course of the next Parliament.
But thinking about how many more teachers you'd need, we reckon it would cost at least that much a year, so for five years.
And then you'd have the cost of extra classrooms and extra schools on top of that.
Well, in general, the research linking spending and educational attainment is actually inconclusive.
There has been some recent evidence for England that found a modest positive link between resources and attainment, but really the jury's out.

They throw a lot of statistics around.
They make lots of bold claims.
And it's just hard to make head or tail of it, really, I think, when you're just listening.
So we take the time to look at these claims, look at these numbers and think, what do they really mean?
Yet the Conservatives have made the improving economy a central part of their election campaign.
