Hi, my name's Ruth.
I am a freelance hairdresser and the founder and CEO of the Freelance Suite app.
It is a financial operating system for freelance hairdressers here to make you more money and manage the money that you do make.
And I know everything there is to know about money.
So if you've got a question, you need to ask me.
I think the biggest reason that we're scared to price properly is because we don't have any clarity around where our prices have come from, quite frankly.
We pull them out of thin air, we kind of guess them.
A lot of the time we haven't even factored in a wage and we struggle backing it up.
If we've made it up, how do you back it up?
I think this is a bigger, deeper conversation that takes a lot longer than 10 seconds.
But I definitely think one of the biggest things that people have come onto the stand and said
you know in their droves is with having the app and I'm not just plugging out but with having the app it's there in blue and white and it says that you have to charge that and if you don't you're just not going to make any money and that's the first place it starts it's like not having clarity and
When you don't feel confident in that price, it's going to be hard to say to someone, this is what you've got to charge.
Because if they question it and they say, well, why?
You've all said, I don't know why.
I haven't worked it out.
I don't know where it's come from.
So you can't back yourself up.
So I think it starts with having clarity.
And that gives you the confidence to go, well, actually, the price is based on X, Y and Z.
