So it doesn't look like much on the map here.

So there's your wetland, obviously, in the middle.

This is a very emblematic of the prairie pothole region.

This is a snapshot of South Dakota.

And this is like retreating glacier country.

So there's a bunch of little holes out there.

A lot of those holes sometimes got deeper because the bison would use them to wallow.

And those fill up with rain intermittently.

And they boom with life because little grass, grasses and stuff.

It is the breeding duck factory.

And then it is how these fledgling ducks get all their little invertebrates to become big ducks that I shoot and snort retrieves.

It's a circle of life thing, right?

But it's the intermittent nature of these things.

The thing that means that they they're dry.

Sometimes they're wet.

Sometimes often multiple times throughout the year that, um, give people the idea that they don't matter.

But that in fact is how, uh, disease issues are mitigated naturally bacteria.
