Back when I was doing a lot of spot and stalk mule deer hunting, um, these little intermittent wetlands and most of these are under half an acre that we're talking about today, um, are, are magnets for, for big bucks laying, laying it out because they can see forever around them.

So there's different types of intermittent wetlands and what we're coming down to and what they want in this request for information is to weigh in on
If there needs to be any changes and the change would be converting U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service wetland conservation easements to the language of possibly NRCS wetland conservation easements.
And the reason that these two different definitions exist is not because of, oh, my God, government ineptitude.
It's because you want to give people options out there.
And the NRCS version, you can put drain tile a lot closer.
And if you flip back over to our topo map, you can see it's obviously a lot easier to affect some of these smaller wetlands than the bigger wetlands.
So the closer you get with that drain tile, the faster that water moves out and that's no longer an intermittent wetland.
Well, yeah, it's a, it's a big soup here because WOTUS and the Clean Water Act have both seen, uh, revisions here that, that help grease the wheels with, with some of this.
The big thing for people to understand is even with the, the broader protections of the fringe in the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service, wetland conservation easement, um,
your farmer or your rancher out there has the ability to plant grass in there.
They can hay it.
