Yeah.

It was a, it was a really big deal.

And so there's this era of extreme scarcity that came on the back end of an era of, um, I would say like abundance to, um, greed, which led into, oh my God, I better get it before it's gone.

It's going to be gone anyway.

And then here comes this overwhelming surge of

uh, again, reverence and, and what we call conservation today.

And then I think your dad's era, right?

It was like, I really don't want to think about anything by and large.

I've been through a lot.

I'm more out here for, um, a level of independence and, and therapy of some sort.

Um, and yeah,

now I can point to like many, many examples across Western States.

They're seeing a lot of, um, hunter pressure relative to the history of those States or, um, uh, doll sheep in Alaska, um, where a hundred behavior anecdotally has really changed around that resource where it used to just be like, you'd get laughed out of town if you shot a legal Ram.

But now it's like,

A legal ram is what you're after because by God, if I don't get it now, it's going away anyway, type of mindset, right?

And throughout all of these changes in history, our federal workforce peaked in the 1970s and the demands on that public ground have only increased and that workforce hasn't increased a long time.

with those demands.

And now we're dropping way back down.

And my only point here is that at the beginning of the national park system or the forest system, um, the refuge system, there was never a point in time where there were so many wardens on the landscape that you were going to get caught.
