I prefer Jackson Cover to uh to a player like uh like a Jack Hextahl.

Um there's a l it's a great story.

I mean Jackson like Cover, he five years ago wasn't playing ice hockey.

He was playing roller hockey.

And so he's got a lot of offensive skill uh and he doesn't really know what to do on the defensive side of the puck.

That's kind of the big knock on him.

Uh I'm not expecting a super, super high ceiling to him, but I could see him contributing offensively in a role like a Jackson Blake or a Toivo Teravinen.

Um, this is a player that I would not be surprised to see Carolina draft, for instance, because they see, okay, there's some elite offensive skill here, and we can teach him the rest.

Um and I think Ottawa made a pretty good pick here too.

This is again it's a it's against the archetype that they usually pick.

The more that we're seeing like uh the the storyline of Brady Kachuk leaving and then the emerging storyline of Drake Batherson, and is he going to sign and or is he going to leave?

And what happens with Jake Sanderson uh in like six years or whatever it is, I think Ottawa will do well to get as many players like Jackson Cover and Jonas Lagerberg-Cohen as they can, guys who can stack the middle six and soon, so early on in their uh, you know, development.

development, maybe they can get them in the lineup.

And uh you have kind of a Carolina esque approach.

Uh and certainly with uh with someone like Travis Green at the helm, I I think Ottawa could do very well with that kind of approach.

You know, uh so Jackson Cover fits perfectly, I think, into this kind of role.

And I I think, yeah, you can think of him like a Jackson Blake.
