So uh that's certainly the kind of player that is interesting in certain dynasty leagues.

But we wanted a bit more upside, and so we we ended up going with Alex Balecki, who was picked in the third round by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Um, very interested in Balecki, both as a Leafs fan and and

There's a little bit of uh, you know.

uh offensive there's a little bit of uh potential offensive fantasy relevance here.

He's quick, he's got great vision.

He's a guy that can think the game really well.

He creates chances and he played this year uh a a third pair role on a very deep team in Kitchener.

So you didn't get to see the kind of ultimate upside of his game because Kitchener was was successful in winning the OHL Cup.

And the Memorial Cup and they were going for a championship.

And so um, you know, you have when you have a player like Alexander Belecki, who is that far down your lineup, he's contributing uh, you know, in an outsized way.

Uh and so he's not gonna be able to get the the big offensive totals, and certainly he was at less than half a point per game.

But he is he grades out as one of the top skating defensemen in this draft with great vision.

Uh and there's there's uh a lot of uh positive uh thoughts going on with Alexander Belecki.

The uh I think the elite prospects comp is Vince Dunn.

If you could get Vince Dunn in the third round of your fantasy draft, you say thank you.

I will take that happily.

Uh and so Belecky uh this year will be very exciting for him.

He's going to move into the top pairing role uh on Kitchener.

And so uh, you know, unlike a lot of these other players uh in the earlier, like in the first round, who now that they've dominated, you know, their OHL or their WHL, now they're gonna go to college or the AHL or Swedish Pro or whatever it might be, Belecki is gonna get another chance to run it back with a very strong Kitchener team.
