Um let's see if they can develop some some more translatable traits.

And and I'm interested in what could happen if they end up on the third line together, for instance, in Pittsburgh for a couple of years.

I mean at this point I I'm not sure that there's really a mistake.

I think once you get past twelve or thirteen in this draft, it it kind of really levels out.

So I can I have some time for JP Herlbert at fifteen.

I probably wouldn't have done it myself, but I I could understand and especially, you know

Part of uh playing fantasy hockey is to have fun, Elon.

I know it doesn't always uh manifest itself that way when you're stressing over setting the right lineup and you're you're sweating, you know, oh, is my player gonna get two shots before the end of the night so I can I can make the points that I need?

But uh you know, I can understand if you're a fan of the Red Wings going for for JP Herlbert, and and certainly he's a prospect that Detroit doesn't have a lot of in their system, you know.

Detroit, I think, has become fairly well known over the past number of years for drafting these kind of two-way um centers, maybe even like wingers that have that kind of uh that maybe they take a few face-offs here and there, like these kind of defensively responsible players.

And I think of players like Marco Casper, who's now in the lineup, Nate Danielson, who is gonna probably be their third line center this year.

Carter Maser is one they drafted before.

Uh they have Michael Brandzig Newgard, which is spelled N Y G A R D, for those out there who are uh trying to spell names like that.

Newgard, uh Norwegian, uh who played in Sweden for a long time.

Uh yeah, these guys are they're maybe not the highest offensively upside guys, but they are definitely gonna be NHLers, right?

And so um I would say part of that is probably why Steve Eiserman doesn't have a job anymore, uh, at least as the general manager, because

Because you want to draft, especially where he had, you know, kind of seventh overall, eighth overall, that kind of area, you wanna draft for upside and he didn't.

He drafted for safety.

Um this is a you know I would say a market uh turn in a different direction for Detroit because JP Herlbert is is certainly a very skilled player.
