This year he had about the leap that you would expect as a twenty-four year old taking on the top center role on the team for the bulk of the season.
Personally, I wish he was more of a 70-point guy instead of the 60-point guy.
And I think it's possible we could see some regression next season on him when Barkov is back taking the prime deployment.
But, you know, and the other thing I noticed uh just looking into him today, he's been a very consistent two shots per game guy in his career.
And he has a not bad shooting percentage, hovering around 10%.
So if he shot just a little bit more, he might actually get to that 70-point uh plateau.
But it
It just unfortunately is not
really his game.
Uh and he's one of those guys too that when we have the opportunity to put him on IR uh for a reset, uh, you know, an IR vacation, it's not the worst thing in the world.
Yeah, I I think he's interesting.
You know, I was saying a lot last year that Callum Ritchie, as part of that Brock Nelson trade, was kind of New York just replacing Brock Nelson.
Uh, you know, it's not gonna happen right away, certainly, but give him a couple of years and he could fill that second line center role in New York.
And uh right now he's not in that role.
He's actually on the top line, like you said.
And so uh I don't think that he will start producing like Brock Nelson.
Uh who could right now without
Good that guy's playing.
But uh I'm interested in him as part of this deployment, certainly.
And it's not just actually Elon since the trade deadline.
