funny. Eighties classic. Uh yeah. You know what? There's been so many great short shifts happening. I was like, I want to get on I you know, I'm like a petty person. It's like there's been too many good episodes. I I don't want to uh be left out here. So I'm excited to join you, Ryan. I think this is our first ever show together.
I think it is. Yeah. I'm I was uh when you talked to me about this earlier this week, I was wondering is this a situation where I'm being called up from the minors to the show or is it you taking a conditioning stint down in the minors? And I guess the listeners can let us know. They can let us know. Uh and I think we'll have to be careful, Elon, to not just let this devolve into a half hour plus discussion about just our dynasty team, which I'm so happy I could say our dynasty team. You've changed the name now from Brelon to Brylan. or Brylin. I don't really know how we're gonna pronounce that, but uh I'm happy to be involved and uh there's a lot, you know, we kind of thought we would design today's show uh based around kind of
our dynasty team and how some of the stories in the NHL today, you know, touch our dynasty team and we think it'll be kind of relevant for everyone, but let's just let's have a look real quick here, Elon, and you can jump in whenever. This is gonna be kind of unstructured. Let's look at how things are going. We're facing the rambling unicorns in the semifinals.
I mean, yeah, it's very exciting. I I got it just for a second before and I know people can be like, we don't care about your dynasty team. It's too bad. It's our show. But we'll we'll try to make it good. But yeah, we're in the semis of the Keeping Carlson Dynasty League against the Rambling Unicorns. Uh also, Ryan, I also clinched the semis for the Kupfful. So this is a rare opportunity for me to uh by one point, uh after I ended that last Sunday show, I Sweated so much. That Hofer shutout. Joel Hofer, my new hero, got me with it, like got me ahead by a point. And then my opponent had Noah Hannafin, who had scored a goal earlier in that game, which had put me behind. Where I was like, what the Noah Hannafin?
First goal since December, whatever. I was so nervous for this last 10 minutes of that Vegas game. I had to leave the house. I went outside. I was walking around. I even cut away. Like I I was like staring at my phone, I was like, I need to like r I ran. I was running down the streets of Toronto at around like midnight, just like trying to get my energy just like trying to kill time in a way that I didn't like have a heart attack. Uh but it was very exciting. I won and now this week I don't have to sweat, which is good 'cause I'm losing. Uh I get to just uh load up for the semis. I'm definitely excited to also tell the listeners here as I'm we're gonna try to do this as a short shift and it's definitely not gonna be successful.
But I've made a couple of moves in anticipation of the uh upcoming semifinals, not next week but the week after, uh, which is uh a very interesting week for fantasy. So we this can be also a mini matchup maximizer. I'm looking forward to sharing some of my moves and maybe getting your take on if you agree and maybe that can also be some tips for other people.
