He would have absolutely annihilated Tyrone Tracy on a screenplay if there was tackling allowed.
And he probably hit the hole, closed the hole.
He probably closed the hole on three run plays where, like, would have just met the guy in the middle for a TFL or no gain.
But, yeah, beating Andrew Thomas was probably the highlight because you just don't see it a lot.
And he speed rushed him.
What I would say is I've been here for two and a half practices, and I've now seen him break up a pass in coverage on Odell, get a sack on the Giants' best offensive lineman, and close off running lanes.
So in my head, when they drafted him, I was like, well, I know teams that are in the top seven that think this guy's an edge rusher, and the Giants are telling me he is a chess piece and an inside linebacker.
And you don't draft an inside linebacker.
So you know how I feel about that because you know how I feel about running backs.
I obviously think that's nonsense.
You pick the best player.
And I think you're seeing why the Giants actually might have gotten this right.
Like his impact could be like, yes, two sacks a game sounds sexy as an edge rusher.
But like 12 impact plays a game as an inside linebacker, if they're not sacks, that might be just as sexy.
So I poked around at the very latest bits right now because I don't want to overreact to it, but I have poked around a little.
So I would say they're in the preservation denial, it's early mode where it's like, oh, you know, the defense is always ahead of the offense.
I believe Harbaugh said that.
And then, like, yeah, like, Dart's a competitor.
He's going to fight back.
