They never have this belief that I've made it or I got this, right?
They almost always have a bit of imposter syndrome, which is weird, but I think in a way shows some of their humility versus the person who's just got it all figured out.
And when you've worked for somebody like that, you know how bad that feels.
You know how it's like, gosh, I do not want to be like that person.
So
It's really just the anti, I've got this, I've got it all figured out, I know what I'm doing type thing.
It's a little bit of, I'm in rooms that I'm definitely not the smartest person.
I have a little bit of imposter syndrome.
I'm not really sure.
Some humility about it every day.
And I think that can fuel you and drive you to continually try to get better.
And to me, I'm deeply attracted to people like that.
I want to be around those people who have that always becoming mindset.
General Stanley McChrystal, four-star general, had him on my podcast.
And afterwards, we kind of kept talking, remained friends.
He actually ended up writing the foreword to my first book.
But after we recorded, he said, hey, I teach a year-long class at Yale.
And in the spring, I take all of my students to Gettysburg for a couple days.

And I thought, I mean, I've never been there before.
